Barbara Orozco
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Barbara is a Veteran and was honorably discharged from the United States Army after serving for eight years; she continues to enjoy working with the military community. She is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and has seven years of counseling experience across a variety of treatment settings that include, private practice and community-based services.
Barbara is bilingual in Spanish and has background in case management and clinical work with victims of violent crime in both the court system and law enforcement for nearly twenty years. Her therapeutic style is eclectic and
uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Reality Based, Trauma Focused and psycho-education to individuals. She utilizes a holistic approach by exploring and
educating clients about how mind, spirit and body are interconnected. Her theory is that when people have hope and can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs and attitudes, people are free to experience
change.
