Ferzin Irani is an advanced doctoral trainee studying clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Ferzin received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from San Jose State University and a Master of Arts Degree in Transpersonal Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Ferzin worked in a variety of settings as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (North Carolina) and most recently provided psychotherapy to adults with a history of anxiety disorders and complex trauma.

During this time, Ferzin completed a three-year training called Somatic Experiencing which lends understanding and practical interventions for resolving trauma. Ferzin brings an integrative orientation to working with clients, what she likes to call a ‘top down and bottom-up’ approach. She is a minister in a Universalist Sufi tradition and offers respect and curiosity in bringing your spiritual orientation into therapy. Her previous training sites were with an LA Department of Mental Health clinic, Whittier College Counseling Center, and the California Institute for Women—a women’s prison. In her downtime, she likes to grow flowers, visit art museums, and spend time with friends and family.
